Phase I - Strategic Sectors As part of our mandate to provide in-depth analysis and understanding of local industry clusters, the Toronto Region Research Alliance (TRRA) carried out a study into the economic base and industrial make-up of the Toronto region. Review of Federal Support to Research & Development Expert Panel Consultation, February 2011: TRRA submission to the panel addresses four questions posed by the Expert Panel's Consultation Paper. To shape our response, we conducted a survey which was distributed to companies across the region and we distributed an early draft of this submission to a number of business leaders across the region for comment and suggestions. The insights gained from both the survey and our smaller group of business leaders are incorporated in this submission.
