Toronto Region: One of the best places to live

Toronto is recognized by the Mercer Quality of Living survey as one of the best places in North America to live.  A publicly funded health-care system that is the envy of the world, rich diversity, vibrant arts and culture - it's no wonder that Toronto ranks as one of the best places to live in the world.

With over seven million people, the Toronto Region has all the advantages of a cosmopolitan urban centre, with few of the problems that plague big cities around the world. Crime rates are significantly lower than in the US, the public education system is strong and the cost of living is among the lowest of the world's major cities.

The possible outlets for fun and recreation are as diverse as the population. There are hundreds of kilometres of waterfront and cycling paths, North America's biggest urban park, the third largest English-language live theatre centre after New York and London, and "Hollywood North", a hub for film and TV production.
