- The 1,100 square meter facility houses state of the art equipment in 10 laboratories and contains Network Architecture, RF & Microwave, Antenna Test, Device Prototyping and Fabrication, and Characterization Labs.

- Determining the potential and fundamental limits of the peer networking approach
- Moving peer networking closer to the hardware, possibly attaching it directly onto processors of mobile devices, routers, and switches
- Exploring how to exploit peer networking technologies in lower layers of the system architecture
- Building significantly larger peer networks, with the goal of reaching up to one million nodes in the next 2 years
