How this site works

This website is designed to provide information about the research organizations and activities in the Toronto Region.  The website also provides demographic and business information about the region.

The website is divided into several sections headings that appear across the top of the page. Each heading is linked to a section.  You can navigate this site in a number of ways:

  • Using the top navigation bar
  • Following the breadcrumbs which appear at the top of each page
  • Clicking on the browser navigation buttons at the top of each page


For easiest browsing and downloading, we recommend using the latest available version of your browser, such as Internet Explorer 7 or Mozilla Firefox 2.

Searching the Site

This site features a search engine to help you quickly locate what you need. The search feature is located at the top right-hand corner of every page. 

  • Enter the search term in the box and click on the button next to the box.
  • Search results will appear on a separate page and will indicate the number of results found.  
  • All search results are displayed by default. Search results can also be sorted by results that are found on the Toronto Region Website or those found in the Directory.  Click on the gray tab to select the search results you prefer.

  • Click on any result to go directly to that search result
  • Click the clear button to start a new search 
  • To return to the page you started your original search, click your browser's back button
